A Guide To Kids Weight Gain!
A
kids fill a place in your heart you never knew was empty, and this little soul
you carry in your hand is the most loved right now. You leave nothing to make
him feel special, you care for him in all means. Being a mother is a full-time
job and the loveliest one where you cannot risk a simple and a single
mistake. The weight gain tells it all, so you need to keep a check on the
baby’s weight according to the doctor’s advice. Let’s have a look at the guide
to your kids' weight gain,
When
your baby is one month old
From now till the 6th month the
baby will just grow an inch and will approximately gain 6 - 7 ounces a week. If
the feeding is proper, up to the mark then your baby will regularly gain
weight.
When
your baby is three months old
At this age, your baby will move
away from a less regular gain of about 6 ounces per week to a little less to 4
ounces a week. This means the baby will roughly gain 2 ounces this month, and
every month till the seventh. The
feeding frequency will decrease here to about five or eight times a day.
When
your baby is six months old
In the previous months, you’ll
notice slight changes in your babies weight and at the end of the fourth month or
in the starting of fifth, you’ll notice signs in your babies which will tell
that they are ready for solid foods but it is recommended to let them be on
breastfeeds and formula and to start with the solids in the sixth month. So,
the sixth month is here and you can think of some solid foods now. Starting
this month the baby will grow about half an inch a month and will gain about 3
to 5 ounces a week.
When
your baby is nine months old
To maintain the weight gain
process you will need to feed your baby with light snacks in between his
breakfast and lunch and then again between lunch and dinner. So, now when the
baby reaches his ninth month he’ll have to be fed 4 times a day. The snacks can
be biscuits or finger chips etc.
When
your baby is twelve months old
The eleventh and the twelfth
month are the rewarding months to the hard work you did the past months. By
your baby’s first birthday he’ll gain triple he had when you gave birth to
him. By this month he’ll be all healthy and set to take his first steps and
walk. As the baby this month will probably take a step to his toddlerhood
you’ll get a bit relief from his weight gain track. Now the baby can eat
anything and anytime he feels like. The baby now will let you know if he’s
hungry, needs a snack of a glass of juice.
